CRAB IMPERIAL

BAKING TIME:
10-15 minutes

OVEN TEMPERATURE:
450F degrees

SERVES:
4

INGREDIENTS:
1 pound backfin crab meat
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon flour
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon minced onion
1/2-1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 slices cubed bread, crust removed
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
dash of pepper
2 tablespoon butter

DIRECTIONS:
Remove any cartilege from crab meat.
Melt butter in a pan, add flour and mix well.
Slowly add milk stirring constantly.
Let mixture come to a boil and thicken.
Add onions, worcestershire sauce and bread crumbs.
Let cool and then fold in mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
In another pan melt butter, add crab meat and toss lightly.
Combine with sauce mixture.
Put in individual shells or ramekins or a greased 1 quart casserole.
Sprinkle tops with paprika.
Bake at 450F degrees until hot and bubbly and lightly browned(10 to 15 minutes).
