Millenniums second new year Allard, Rolls Royce, Prefect, Dodge and Star
These are cars rallying on our motor bike day
But these diverse types and makes were there
To guide the new year in the drivers way.

Included in our wide ranging group
Were diehards with only three wheels
Best one of which , a Matchless engined Morgan
Its delectability, not to everyone appeals.

The other three wheels were not my sort
A couple with a skinny one in front
And a prat who put his wheel in the air
The rest were not in the hunt.

A Velocette broke down,
I saw with my own two eyes
But I’m glad that I never took the A.J.S.
I couldn’t stand the surprise.

This new years day run; was it the biggest of all
Its starting to be a big deal
There was a Durant [have you heard of that make
And my mate was sat at the wheel.
